Awards

Stages For Youth Filmmakers have numerous awards for their films, both local and national. In fact in 2016, 5 of our young filmmakers went to The White House in recognition of their filmmaking achievements. They had a private audience with then President Obama, spent the day mingling with Hollywood stars and participated in South By South Lawn.

7 of our filmmakers were then invited to the American Film Institute Conservatory Mentor Program, where they were paired up one-on-one with an AFI Alumnus for a year. As President Obama said to our young people “…be kind, be useful, be fearless”. With perseverance and hard work you can achieve great things.
